Taking Surveys
How often will I receive invitations to participate in a study?
On average, you can expect to receive two-three invitations per month to participate. Participation is always
optional and you can choose to respond to those that most interest you.
How often can I participate in research studies?
You may participate only one time per study, and a maximum of twelve times per year. However, some studies will
require follow up surveys at our client's request and these follow-up studies will not count towards the maximum.
From time to time, On-LinePanels.com may invite you to take place in surveys we sponsor in order to gather
information or solicit your opinions. These studies will also not count towards your annual maximum.
Why does your registration survey ask for personal information?
The member information we gather such as, demographics, hobbies, employment, Internet usage, etc., allows us to
determine which research studies are most in line with your interests. Some surveys on behalf of our clients will
include additional questions for inclusion in analysis of certain subgroups.
What is a niche panel and how do I join?
A niche panel is a specific group of panel members with a certain commonality, such as: hobby, occupation, migraine
sufferers, etc. You may be asked to join a niche panel based upon your response to one or more previous screener or
registration questions, and invited to participate in surveys on a particular topic.
Do I have to participate if I am invited to a study?
Participation is always optional and you can choose to respond to the surveys that most interest you. However,
if your account is inactive for a period of 12 months, we will send an email asking you to verify that you wish
to continue as a panel member.
How long are the surveys?
The length of time to complete a survey will vary with each study. We make every effort to keep surveys as short
as possible and will average from 15-20 minutes. Your browser and Internet connection speed may effect how long
it takes to complete a survey.
What happens if my Internet connection is lost or I don't have time to complete a survey?
If for any reason you are unable to complete a survey, you can resume at any time by opening your email invitation
and clicking on the unique URL that is provided.

will require specific technology that your system may or may not have, such as a certain video or sound cards. We will

From time to time, we may interrupt a survey for technical or research reasons. If this occurs, feel free to check
back at a later time to complete the survey.
